What is Hydrotherapy?

Hydrotherapy involves the use of warm water for functional activities, stretching, strengthening and pain relief.  Hydrotherapy takes advantage of the physical properties of water such as temperature and pressure to stimulate blood circulation and make it easier for parts of the body to move with less pressure on them.

How can Hydrotherapy Help Me?

Hydrotherapy is useful when land-based treatment and exercise is difficult due to pain or disability.  The buoyancy unloads the joints easing pain and making it easier to move when there is weakness present.  Turbulence and drag can be used to increase resistance on body parts to work on strengthening whilst the rest of the body is supported in the water.    We offer both individualised and group hydrotherapy sessions depending on your needs. At Neuro Junction we cater for both adult and paediatric clients in our hydrotherapy services.
